AC Maintenance Tips For Summer
Summer time is here again, and with it comes the summer heat. The last thing you need is to adjust the thermostat and find out that the air conditioner is not working! The problem is that when your air conditioner goes for long periods of time without being used the outside unit tends to collect all manner of debris including leaves, dirt and other things. This can create issues for you when you are ready to run your AC. If you want to avoid costly repairs we have some tips for you to help you do some simple pre-season maintenance prior to the season. Or feel free to call us.

As the Fall season rapidly approaches at Air Systems Texas we are getting our client’s ready for the “Ber’s”. You know…Septem-ber, Novem-ber, Octo-ber and Decem-ber. And while in our neck of the woods we eagerly await the cooler weather and the chance to break out our jackets or adorn ourselves with that sweater we spent all summer knitting, our AC and Heating Systems may need a good kick-start to prepare for the colder weather that is coming.

As a part of your air conditioning system there are many components. Understanding the job of the air conditioner makes understanding these components more intuitive. Of course, the main job of an AC Unit is to cool the air inside your home or office. But air conditioners also do the work of monitoring and regulating the air temperature. To do this it uses what is called a thermostat. In addition, air conditioners are fitted with filters to clean the air as it cools the air. But wait there’s more! Remember the introduction to this article? Air conditioning units also relieve the relative humidity of the environment that it cools.
